Is a Chinese dwarf hamster a good pet?

If you are wondering if a Chinese dwarf hamster would be a good pet, consider the pros and cons of ownership before making a decision. This small hamster is an ideal pet for children over the age of 12 and adults who prefer and enjoy watching and watching their pets – rather than holding and cuddling them.
Some advantages of ownership:
* Since it is small in size, the house floor does not have to take up much space. A 10-gallon aquarium, with an air-permeable lid, can be enough space for one person.
* Relatively low maintenance to clean and take care of their homes.
* They rarely bite you but tend to pee if they get scared!
* It’s funny to watch and observe their antics.
Owning one is ideal because they are more of a solitary dwarf hamster.
* Fairly inexpensive to keep, compared to a larger animal such as a dog.
Some of the downsides of the property:
* The female is more dominant, and may attack and injure or kill a male cage mate
* They can be difficult to handle because they are very fast and can suffer from falls. They are not often recommended for novice or inexperienced dwarf hamster owners.
* They are very agile, and can easily escape, especially from a cage with bars.
* In some states, Chinese dwarf hamsters are illegible, so check your zoning regulations beforehand.
The Chinese hamster is more mouse-like in appearance than other hamsters because it is not actually a dwarf, but rather part of the rat-like hamster family. They usually have a longer, mouse-shaped body with a long tail and fully grown are about 10-12cm in size. Their coat colors are grayish-brown with a black stripe running down their spine and they have a white belly.
